What would you like to do/create for your independent component?
Honestly I'm not too sure, but maybe do more hours with my service learning person or with another midwife. But that might not be easy, because they have to get used to me.
Explain how you think this will be a worthwhile use of 30 hours?
This will be worth while because I will be there more, so me interacting with them and me seeing everything hands on will be very useful and will work to my advantage.

So like I previously mentioned I get a chance of being around that environment more, and if I have any questions I'll feel more comfortable to ask them.
Plus I get to see everything and how the midwife interacts with her patients.
So, have you decided to do more service learning? I think we talked about this, and you did. Some other ideas might be if you know some people with newborns and could help them or if you collected stories of women you knew who had given birth and how they felt about the experience and their caregivers.
